Back to the swimming pool for the first time in... Well, more than 12 months.

Did 12x50 meters laps very s-l-o-w-l-y in about 40 minutes. About 1.5min to the lap, with about the same time to rest in between.

Yeah, that sequined mermaid outfit did not help, but sh.. I am getting old. At least I looked fabulous.

My body is going to hate me tomorrow. I am going to hate myself tomorrow.

And I am going to go back in the water on Saturday. πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈπŸ’¦

Bonus support appreciation to the guy who smiled at me on the way out and said: "Tough getting back, right?" - I am afraid it was that visible on my face... πŸ˜‹

In other news today, am I treating myself to a whole bag of English crips as a reward? Well, you can't prove ANYTHING because all evidence has ENTIRELY DISAPPEARED!

(Mwa ha ha ha ha ha!)

And now for something completely different, I am wondering if there is a smart watch somewhere that's able to record useful swimming metrics in the water?

I know Suntoo and Fitbit have a few things, as well as Apple, but their functionalities were underwhelming to say the least...

Casio has some weird things, but nothing specifically dedicated to swimmers. The Casio Frogman G-Shock is great, but it is for diving.

@ParadeGrotesque I have old Garmin swimming watch. They cover all you need: distance, time let lap, stroke, rest time. Newer Garmin watches also can track heart rate, but they are more expensive.
